Bacterial flagella are complex molecular motors that are essential for locomotion and host colonization. They consist of 30 different proteins expressed in varying stoichiometries. Their assembly and function are governed by a hierarchical transcriptional regulatory network with multiple checkpoints primarily regulated by sigma factors.

Introduction: Expression is a key aspect of music performance. Studies on pianists' gestures and expression have mainly documented the impact of their expressive intentions on proximal segments and head linear kinematics. It remains unclear how pianists' expressive intentions influence joint angular kinematics as well as exposure to risk factors of injury, such as poor overall posture and distal jerky movements, two kinematic factors linked to injury.

Tunas are high-performance pelagic fishes of considerable economic importance and have a suite of biological adaptations for high-speed locomotion. In contrast to our understanding of tuna body and muscle function, mechanosensory systems of tuna are poorly understood. Here we present the discovery of a remarkable sensory lateral line canal within the bilateral tuna keels with tubules that extend to the upper and lower keel surfaces.

Fenestrated/branched endovascular aortic repair emerges as the primary therapeutic modality for intricate aortic pathologies encompassing the paravisceral and thoracoabdominal segments, where bridging stent grafts (BSGs) play a vital role in linking the primary aortic endograft with target vessels. Bridging stent grafts can be categorized mainly into self-expanding stent grafts (SESGs) and balloon-expandable stent grafts (BESGs). Physiological factors significantly influence post-complex endovascular aortic repair BSG behaviour, impacting clinical outcomes of SESGs and BESGs in different but overlapping ways.

Skipping represents a training alternative to running due to its lower knee contact forces and higher whole-body metabolic cost. The increased metabolic cost of skipping is associated with a higher vertical center-of-mass (COM) displacement during the support and flight phases of the skipping hop compared to running. However, skipping has lower muscle force impulses than running.
