Organizational functioning within substance abuse treatment organizations is important to the transfer of research innovations into practice. Programs should be performing well for new interventions to be implemented successfully. This study examined the characteristics of treatment programs that participated in an assessment and training workshop designed to improve organizational functioning. The workshop was attended by directors and clinical supervisors from 53 community-based treatment units in a single state in the Southwest. Logistic regression analysis was used to examine attributes related to program-level decisions to engage in a structured process for making organizational changes. Findings showed that programs with higher needs and pressures, more limited institutional resources, and poorer ratings on staff attributes and organizational climate were the most likely to engage in a change strategy. Furthermore, organizations with greater staff consensus (i.e., smaller standard deviations) on ratings of organizational climate were also more likely to engage in change.

Graft-through ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of norbornene-terminated macromonomers (MMs) prepared using various polymerization methods has been extensively used for the synthesis of bottlebrush (co)polymers, yet the potential of ROMP for the synthesis of MMs that can subsequently be polymerized by graft-through ROMP to produce new bottlebrush compositions remains untapped. Here, we report an efficient "ROMP-of-ROMP" method that involves the synthesis of norbornene-terminated poly(norbornene imide) (PNI)-based MMs that, following ROMP, provide new families of bottlebrush (co)polymers and "brush-on-brush" hierarchical architectures. In the bulk state, the organization of the PNI pendants drives bottlebrush backbone extension to enable rapid assembly of asymmetric lamellar morphologies with large asymmetry factors.

This paper investigates optimal ordering strategies in supply chains under two-level price fluctuations and initial profit allocation. By utilizing Copula functions to model the complex relationship between fluctuating prices and uncertain demand, the study develops both continuous and discrete decision models for practical applications. A discrete algorithm is proposed to approximate the optimal solution, with its convergence rigorously proven.

This paper aims to reveal the changing characteristics of the contribution rates of different production factors in China since the reform and opening up from two dimensions: stage and space. The study used national data from 1978 to 2021 and provincial data from 2000 to 2020, combined with methods such as C-D production function and spatial econometrics for analysis. Research has found that: (1) In terms of stage characteristics, during the structural adjustment stage (1978-1998), economic growth mainly relies on capital and labor input, and the contribution rate of land factors gradually decreases.

Walking patterns can differ between children and adults, both kinematically and kinetically. However, the detailed nature of the ankle pattern has not been clarified. We investigated musculature, biomechanics, and muscle activation strategies and their relevance to walking performance in preschool (PS) and school children (SC), with adults (AD) as reference.

The "no-show" problem in healthcare refers to the prevalent phenomenon where patients schedule appointments with healthcare providers but fail to attend them without prior cancellation or rescheduling. In addressing this issue, our study delves into a multivariate analysis over a five-year period involving 21,969 patients. Our study introduces a predictive model framework that offers a holistic approach to managing the no-show problem in healthcare, incorporating elements into the objective function that address not only the accurate prediction of no-shows but also the management of service capacity, overbooking, and idle resource allocation resulting from mispredictions.
