Importance: Increases in pulmonary capillary wedge pressure (PCWP) during exercise reduce pulmonary artery (PA) compliance, increase pulsatile right ventricular (RV) afterload, and impair RV-PA coupling in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). The effects of the sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor dapagliflozin on pulmonary vascular properties and RV-PA coupling are unknown.
Objective: To test the effect of dapagliflozin on right ventricular performance and pulmonary vascular load during exertion in HFpEF.

Background: Chronic exertional compartment syndrome involving the lower leg lateral compartment (lat-CECS) seldom occurs isolated but is usually combined with CECS of the anterior (ant-CECS) or deep posterior compartment (dp-CECS). Patient characteristics in lat-CECS and outcome after surgery are largely unknown. The aim of this prospective case series was to describe patient characteristics and symptoms and to report on outcome following a fasciotomy.

Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF) is the most common cyanotic congenital heart disease (CHD) in infants. The four components that constitute ToF are an overriding aorta over the crest of the interventricular septum, obstruction in the right ventricular outflow tract, right ventricular hypertrophy, and a typically large non-restricted ventricular septal defect. ToF may also be associated with other extracardiac abnormalities, including patent ductus arteriosus or multiple aortopulmonary collateral arteries, which can impact the patient's survival.
