Article Synopsis
  • The study examines how cancer survivors in their 20s and 30s view their reintegration into society using Q methodology, which helps analyze subjective perceptions.
  • Through interviews and a pilot study, the researchers defined a Q sample of 40 items and selected 12 participants based on age and cancer type to represent different perspectives.
  • Four distinct types of perceptions were identified: seeking presence through reintegration, confusion due to social prejudices, reliance on psychosocial support, and finding growth after trauma, highlighting the need for tailored support services for these survivors.

Despite the need for successful navigation, humans vary greatly in their ability to navigate, and these individual differences may relate to variation in brain structure. While prior research provides support for a correlation between hippocampal volume and navigation ability in both navigation experts and in older individuals, this relationship is under scrutiny for healthy, young adults. We assessed 99 healthy young adults' ability to navigate in a virtual, desktop maze and correlated their performance with total hippocampal gray matter volume.

Microneedle arrays (MNAs) consist of a few dozens of submillimeter needles, which tend to penetrate through the stratum corneum layer of the skin and deliver hardly penetrating drugs to the systemic circulation. The application of this smart dosage form shows several advantages, such as simple use and negligible pain caused by needle punctures compared to conventional subcutaneous injections. Dissolving MNAs (DMNAs) represent a promising form of cutaneous drug delivery due to their high drug content, biocompatibility, and ease of use.
