Objective: To develop a Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) eating disorder screener.
Method: Veterans enrolled in VA healthcare (N = 344) completed a survey of screening items and established measures. A validation subset (n = 166) participated in diagnostic interviews to confirm an eating disorder diagnosis.

As structural biology and drug discovery depend on high-quality protein structures, assessment tools are essential. We describe a new method for validating amino-acid conformations: "PhiSiCal ([Formula: see text]al) Checkup." Twenty new joint probability distributions in the form of statistical mixture models explain the empirical distributions of dihedral angles [Formula: see text] of canonical amino acids in experimental protein structures.

The demand for non-invasive, real-time health monitoring has driven advancements in wearable sensors for tracking biomarkers in sweat. Ammonium ions (NH) in sweat serve as indicators of metabolic function, muscle fatigue, and kidney health. Although current ion-selective all-solid-state printed sensors based on nanocomposites typically exhibit good sensitivity (~50 mV/log [NH]), low detection limits (LOD ranging from 10 to 10 M), and wide linearity ranges (from 10 to 10 M), few have reported the stability test results necessary for their integration into commercial products for future practical applications.

Plants, various biological organisms, and certain marine organisms typically provide biopolymers, like cellulose. Some things that make them unique are that they are non-toxic, biodegradable, have high specific strength and specific modulus, are easy to change the surface of, are highly hydrophilic, and are biocompatible. Significantly, nanocellulose has emerged as a prominent development in the 21st century.

Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) is considered good practice in all health research including literature reviews. Reporting of involvement practice in realist reviews has been inconsistent leaving gaps in understanding of best practice. Realist reviews are theory driven and explain how interventions work, for whom and in which circumstances.
