Many fluorophores display interesting features that make them useful biological labels and dyes, particularly in Cell Biology and Cytogenetics. Changes in the absorption-emission spectra (ortho- and metachromasia) are accounted among them. Acridine orange (AO) is one of such fluorochromes with an exemplary orthochromatic vs.

Atherosclerosis (AS) is a disease characterized by the buildup of fat and fibrous elements within the walls of arteries and is a primary factor in the occurrence of heart failure and mortality. The potential targets and mechanisms underlying the anti-atherosclerotic effects of avenanthramide (Avn) were investigated using network pharmacology, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics simulations. Target information for Avn A, B, and C was collected from the PubChem and Swiss Target Prediction databases.

Currently, the adverse effects of carcinogenic primary aromatic amines (PAAs) released from electronic waste (e-waste) dismantling activities on human health remain unclear. Therefore, this study examined the urinary concentrations of 28 PAAs in residents living in both e-waste dismantling and control areas, and the median concentrations (unit: μg/g Cre) of aniline (ANI) (1.06 vs.

Palladium-Catalyzed Dual-Tasked -C-H Borylation of Aryl Iodides.

Org Lett

December 2024

School of Chemical Science and Engineering, Shanghai Key Laboratory of Chemical Assessment and Sustainability, Tongji University, Shanghai 200092, People's Republic of China.

Article Synopsis
  • A new method has been developed for Pd-catalyzed C-H borylation using maleimide to activate C-H bonds in aryl iodides.
  • This reaction allows for the alkylation of -positions and borylation of -C-H bonds, leading to the synthesis of functionalized 3-aryl succinimides, which are important in various organic compounds.
  • The boronate group created in this process can be further modified, showcasing the practical applications and potential of this C-H activation strategy for difunctionalizing aryl halides.

A Cu-catalyzed three-component cascade reaction has been developed, involving -alkynylaryl aldehydes, terminal alkynes and aliphatic/aromatic amines or diamines. This diversity oriented methodology successfully delivered a rich library of 72 molecules in good to excellent yields (yields up to 99%) through the application of an A-coupling reaction. This method is green, straightforward to execute, requires a short reaction time (2 min-4 h), does not require solvents or harsh or inert conditions, can be performed in open air, and utilizes only a small amount of a cheap and readily available catalyst (2.
