Objective: This article examines recovery through sleep in relation to sleep quality, exhaustion, and depression in clinical burnout. We focus on actual recovery per night, given its relevance to burnout improvement.
Methods: Sixty clinically burned-out participants and 40 healthy controls recorded symptoms with an electronic diary for 2 weeks at random times per day. Recovery through sleep was defined as the difference in fatigue between late evening and the next morning.
Results: In clinical burnout, sleep quality and recovery are impaired, and depression is elevated. Poor recovery through sleep is associated with poor same-night sleep quality, clarifying the mechanisms underlying poor recovery. Individual differences in recovery though sleep were related to differences in refreshed awakening, but not to other sleep problems. Impaired recovery was also related to severity of exhaustion, but not to severity of depressive mood, indicating that, in burnout, nonprofit from sleep is a symptom of energy depletion, not a sign of depression.
Conclusion: Impaired recovery through sleep may hamper recovery from burnout independently of the influence of depression.

Objective: Sleep disturbance (SD) is common after pediatric mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and may predict increased postconcussive symptoms (PCS) and prolonged recovery. Our objective was to investigate the relation of SD with PCS in children with mTBI and those with orthopedic injury (OI).
Setting: Emergency departments (EDs) at 2 children's hospitals in the Midwestern United States.
Objective: This study aims to investigate the effects of video scenario-based breathing training on interleukin-4 (IL-4), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-10 (IL-10), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), and interferon-γ (IFN-γ) in children with Mycoplasma pneumonia.
Methods: A total of 106 children with Mycoplasma pneumonia treated in our hospital from February 2022 to April 2024 were selected. According to different nursing methods, children receiving routine intervention were assigned to the control group, while those undergoing video scenario-based breathing training were assigned to the training group.

This study investigated the association of menstrual cycle phase and symptoms with objective and subjective sleep measures from professional footballers before and after matches. Twenty-three non-hormonal contraceptive-using professional footballers (from four clubs) were monitored for up to four menstrual cycles during a domestic league season. Methods: An RCT of CBT-I (n = 31) compared to Quasi-Desensitization therapy (QDT, n = 32), eight weekly in-person sessions, with assessments at baseline, end of treatment (8 weeks), and 3- and 6-months post-treatment. Primary outcomes were the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) total score, and Percent Days Abstinent (PDA).
