Ureterohydronephrosis of the lower segment in a context of ureteric duplication is a rare entity and is usually associated with vesicoureteric reflux. The authors report the case of a 35-year-old woman with giant ureterohydronephrosis of the lower segment secondary to partial ureteric duplication due to primary megaureter discovered in a context of infection. After primary percutaneous drainage of the collection, treatment consisted of partial nephrectomy with preservation of the good quality upper segment.

Introduction: The aim was to propose initial and pre-therapeutical assessment of lower urinary tract symptoms in adult men through a systematic review and clinical practice guidelines.
Methods: These guidelines were based on a systematic review performed between January 2011 and November 2021 in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses criteria. The protocol was registered in the International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews database (CRD42022336418).
Introduction: Prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the most common diseases of elderly and senile men. Its natural "evolution" leads to an increase in deformity disorders, gradual decompensation of the bladder and the progression of CKD. If the morphogenesis of BPH, as well as the patterns of adaptive and pathological restructuring of the lower urinary tract are described in the literature, then there is practically no evidence of adaptive processes in the prostate itself against the background of the growth of hyperplasia nodes.

Background: Malignant ureteral obstruction (MUO) is a serious health condition in which a malignant tumor compresses the ureter. The optimal decompressive intervention in MUO remains unclear. This study was conducted to assess and compare renal function, the occurrence of ureterohydronephrosis (UHN), intraoperative, and postoperative complications among patients with MUO who underwent double J stenting (DJS) and percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN) in the Palestinian practice.

Congenital ureteral stenosis is one of the leading causes of impaired urinary drainage and subsequent dilatation of the urinary collecting system, known as hydronephrosis or ureterohydronephrosis. The mechanism that leads to obstruction is not clearly known. Multiple studies in rat models have shown increased angiotensin II and TGFβ levels in obstructed ureteral tissue.
