The paper presents a double-radio wireless multimedia sensor node (WMSN) with a camera on board, designed for plant proximal monitoring. Camera sensor nodes represent an effective solution to monitor the crop at the leaf or fruit scale, with details that cannot be retrieved with the same precision through satellites or unnamed aerial vehicles (UAVs). From the technological point of view, WMSNs are characterized by very different requirements, compared to standard wireless sensor nodes; in particular, the network data rate results in higher energy consumption and incompatibility with the usage of battery-powered devices.

Background: SARS-CoV-2 infection is generally associated with less severe forms of disease in children, where most cases only require symptomatic treatment. However, there is a paucity of information regarding the impact and clinical course of COVID-19 in neonate patients. This study aimed to analyze the epidemiological and clinical aspects of COVID-19 in this particular age group who were patients treated in our department.

The glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) is a glycol-lipid that anchors several proteins to the cell surface. The GPI-anchor pathway is crucial for the correct function of proteins involved in cell function, and it is fundamental in early neurogenesis and neural development. The PIG gene family is a group of genes involved in this pathway with six genes identified so far, and defects in these genes are associated with a rare inborn metabolic disorder manifesting with a spectrum of clinical phenotypes in newborns and children.

We present a 22-year-old man with a well-established medical history who had been complaining of 4 days of frothy dark urine, bilateral lower limb swelling, and puffiness on his face. For a month before his presentation, he had many bilateral skin lesions on his lower limbs that were leaking pus.

: RAS guanyl-releasing protein 1 (RASGRP1) deficiency is characterized by immune dysregulation and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-related lymphoproliferation. Diffuse mesangial sclerosis is one of the infrequent causes of infantile nephrotic syndrome. : Here, we described a 7-year-old girl who was diagnosed with diffuse mesangial sclerosis at 5 months old and subsequently developed chronic bilateral neck swelling at the age of 3 years.
