The Swedish quality register AmbuReg collects all the country's ambulance missions. There is an increasing demand on the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) due to decreasing hospital resources and referral to self-care, primary care and mobile teams. This, in combination with fast tracks for patients with myocardial infarction, stroke, hip fracture or sepsis, increases the requirement for optimal triage at the scene.

Background: Despite a high burden of sepsis in Sub-Saharan Africa, clinical data for adolescent and adult sepsis in this setting are limited. We sought to describe clinical characteristics, management, and outcomes in adolescents and adults with sepsis in northern Tanzania. We also assessed for clinical associations with in-hospital mortality.

is a Gram-positive bacterium, also known as Group A (GAS), that has become a significant threat to the healthcare system, infecting more than 18 million people and resulting in more than 500,000 deaths annually worldwide. GAS infection rates decreased gradually during the 20th century in Western countries, largely due to improved living conditions and access to antibiotics. However, post-COVID-19, the situation has led to a steep increase in GAS infection rates in Europe, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, which triggers a global concern.

Background: We synthesised the current evidence in coverage and quality of delivery care, change in neonatal mortality (NMR), and causes of neonatal death in the private sector deliveries in the Indian state of Bihar from 2011 to 2021.
Methods: Women aged 15-49 years with livebirths were interviewed in three household surveys involving state-representative samples in 2011, 2016 and 2020-2021 designed to document the coverage of maternal and newborn health services and change in NMR over time. Verbal autopsy interviews were used to assign the cause of neonatal death.

Introduction: Stercoral colitis is a rare but serious diagnosis which is associated with a high rate of morbidity.
Objective: This review highlights the pearls and pitfalls of stercoral colitis, including presentation, diagnosis, and emergency department (ED) management based on the available evidence.
Discussion: Stercoral colitis is an uncommon inflammatory condition of the distal large bowel and rectum resulting from accumulation of impacted stool and is associated with several complications including bowel ulceration, ischemia, perforation, peritonitis, and sepsis.
