We conducted three torsion-balance experiments to test the gravitational inverse-square law at separations between 9.53 mm and 55 microm, probing distances less than the dark-energy length scale lambda(d)=[4 -root](variant Planck's over 2pic/rho(d) approximately 85 microm. We find with 95% confidence that the inverse-square law holds (|alpha|

We consider a dynamical system undergoing a saddle-node bifurcation with an explicitly time-dependent parameter p(t). The combined dynamics can be considered a dynamical system where p is a slowly evolving parameter. Here, we investigate settings where the parameter features an overshoot.

The phase separation of the NaO-BO-SiO system was explored both theoretically and experimentally in order to attain a spinodal structure having a narrowed periodic distance (<70 nm) with the porosity being kept at ∼60%. The phase separation was dealt with by two stages: an initial thermodynamic process of spinodal decomposition and a latter growth of the spinodal structure. The initial structural development was related to the interfacial energy and the change in free energy caused by phase separation.

Dose falls-off faster than the inverse square law (ISL) for orthovoltage beams with closed-ended applicators. This work investigates the discrepancy for 30 cm FSD applicators. When using the ISL alone, the maximum dosimetric error would be 3% and 5% at 10 mm and 20 mm from the applicator, respectively, and increases with larger distances.

Dirac fermion in topological materials exhibits intriguing nonlinear optical responses. However, their direct correlation with the linearly dispersed band remains elusive experimentally. Here, we take topological semimetal ZrSiS as a paradigm, unveiling three unique nonlinear optical signatures of Dirac fermion.

The aim of this study was to use computer simulation to analyze the impact of the aluminum fixing support on the Reference Air Kerma (RAK), a physical quantity obtained in a calibration system that was experimentally developed in the Laboratory of Radiological Sciences of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (LCR-UERJ). Correction factors due to scattered radiation and the geometry of theIr sources were also sought to be determined. The computational simulation was validated by comparing some parameters of the experimental results with the computational results.
