Article Abstract

A new frontier of discrete-line gamma-ray spectroscopy at ultrahigh spin has been opened in the rare-earth nuclei (157,158) Er. Four rotational structures, displaying high moments of inertia, have been identified, which extend up to spin approximately 65 variant Planck's over 2pi and bypass the band-terminating states in these nuclei which occur at approximately 45 variant Planck's over 2pi. Cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky calculations suggest that these structures arise from well-deformed triaxial configurations that lie in a valley of favored shell energy which also includes the triaxial strongly deformed bands in (161-167) Lu.

We propose a non-magnetic transparent heating film based on silver nanowires (Ag-NWs) for application in spin-exchange relaxation-free (SERF) magnetic field measurement devices. To achieve ultra-high sensitivity in atomic magnetometers, the atoms within the alkali metal vapor cell must be maintained in a stable and uniform high-temperature environment. Ag-NWs, as a transparent conductive material with exceptional electrical conductivity, are well suited for this application.

Multi-resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) materials have great potential for applications in ultrahigh-definition (UHD) organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays, that benefit from their narrowband emission characteristic. However, key challenges such as aggregation-caused quenching (ACQ) effect and slow triplet-to-singlet spin-flip process, especially for blue MR-TADF materials, continue to impede their development due to planar skeletons and relatively large ΔESTs. Here, an effective strategy that incorporates multiple carbazole donors into the parent MR moieties is proposed, synergistically engineering their excited states and steric hindrances to enhance both the spin-flip process and quenching resistance.

Epitaxial Stabilization of a Pyrochlore Interface between Weyl Semimetal and Spin Ice.

Department of Physics and Astronomy, Rutgers University, Piscataway, New Jersey 08854, United States.

Pyrochlore materials are known for their exotic magnetic and topological phases arising from complex interactions among electron correlations, band topology, and geometric frustration. Interfaces between different pyrochlore crystals characterized by complex many-body ground states hold immense potential for novel interfacial phenomena due to the strong interactions between these phases. However, the realization of such interfaces has been severely hindered by limitations in material synthesis methods.

The rapid advancement of the Internet of Things has created a substantial demand for portable gas sensors. Nevertheless, the development of gas sensors that can fulfill the demanding criteria of high sensitivity and rapid response time continues to pose a considerable challenge. Herein, an in-situ anchoring strategy is proposed to construct CNTs@MOF heterostructure to establish strong electronic coupling and charge relocation for enhancing the monitoring capabilities of isopropanol (freshness markers for fruits) at room temperature.

Pt-ZnO Interfacial Effect on the Performance of Propane Dehydrogenation and Mechanism Study.

ACS Nano

Bimetallic Pt-based catalysts, for example, PtZn and PtSn catalysts, have gained significant attention for addressing the poor stability and low selectivity of pristine Pt catalysts over propane dehydrogenation (PDH). However, the structures of the active sites and the corresponding catalytic mechanism of PDH are still elusive. Here, we demonstrate a spatially confined Pt-ZnO@RUB-15 catalyst (where "" is the mole ratio of Zn/Pt and RUB-15 is a layered silica), which exhibited high catalytic activity, ultrahigh selectivity (>99%), and resistance to coking at 550 °C for PDH.
