Robust interfaces in anodes play a crucial role in boosting sodium-ion battery (SIB) performance. However, the fragile interfaces constructed by a two-step synthesis or artificial stack are prone to be destroyed during the charging/discharging processes, which significantly reduces the lifetime of SIBs. Here, a facile construction strategy is developed to produce robust interfaces in hollow sphere-like CoSe/nitrogen-doped carbon (HS-CoSe/NC) using intrinsic Co, N, C in metal-organic framework as precursors, which enhance the electron/ion diffusion kinetics.

There has been a rising call to decolonize global health so that it more fully includes the concerns, knowledge, and research from people all over the world. This endeavor can only succeed, we argue, if we also recognize that much of established global health doctrine is rooted in Euro-American beliefs, values, and practice rather than being culturally neutral. This paper examines the cultural biases of child feeding recommendations as a case in point.

Understanding metabolic activities involved in bloom formation during a single-species algal bloom has improved greatly. However, little is known about metabolic activities during a multi-species algal bloom. Here, we investigated protein expression profiles at different bloom stages of a mixed dinoflagellate bloom caused by Karenia mikimotoi and Prorocentrum obtusidens (syn.

Quantum computing presents a promising avenue for solving complex problems, particularly in quantum chemistry, where it could accelerate the computation of molecular properties and excited states. This work focuses on computing excitation energies with hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for near-term quantum devices, combining the quantum linear response (qLR) method with a polarizable embedding (PE) environment. We employ the self-consistent operator manifold of quantum linear response (q-sc-LR) on top of a unitary coupled cluster (UCC) wave function in combination with a Davidson solver.

: This study aimed to explore self-care understanding and behaviours among aged-care workers in Australia. It was conducted as part of a project to co-produce a self-care resource for the Australian aged-care workforce. : Semi-structured interviews with eleven aged-care staff and a focus group with four staff at an aged-care facility were undertaken to understand how staff understand and practice self-care and how death and dying affect workers.
