Trend test based on cross-classified data in dose-response has been a central problem in medicine. Most of existing test methods are known to only fit to binary response variables. However, the approaches for binary response tables may suffer from the lack of a clear choice for dichotomization. For multivariate response with ordered categories, some studies have been done for simple stochastic order, likelihood ratio order and so on. However, methods of statistical inference on increasing convex order for more than two multinomial populations have not been fully developed. For testing the increasing convex order alternative, this article provides a model-free test method which can be used in the case of two-way tables and stratified data. Two real examples will be used to illustrate how to apply our test method.

Objective: To compare the influence of different emergence profile of implants in mandibular molar on the peri-implant soft tissue.
Methods: Forty-four implants were divided into two equal groups by mucosal thickness, ≥2 mm (group A) or < 2 mm (group B), and were randomly included in the test group and the control group. In the control group, the patients were treated by a prosthesis with no transmucosal modifications (subgroups A1 and B1).

Background: Trochlear dysplasia is a consistent risk factor for recurrent patellofemoral instability (PFI), but there is limited understanding of how the trochlea develops during growth. The aim of this study was to evaluate serial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies performed in skeletally immature patients with and without PFI to characterize changes in trochlear anatomy over time.
Hypothesis: PFI leads to progressive worsening of trochlear dysplasia over time.

The recovery of precious metal ions (PMI) from wastewater has great significances from both economic and environmental perspectives. However, current recovery methods face limitations, including low efficiency and selectivity, as well as challenges in practical applications. In this study, hollow N-doped carbon spheres (HNC) are proved to be promising for improving anionic AuCl and PdCl recovery via the curvature effect, outperforming non-curved carbon (commercial active carbon and carbon nanosheet) due to their unique curvature effect.
