Objectives: In presenting a case of laryngeal schwannoma, the authors emphasize the difficulties in diagnosing this rare pathology and review treatment options. The recent literature concerning this benign tumour is reviewed.

Materials And Method: The authors present a case of laryngeal schwannoma in a 29 year old man, revealed by exertional inspiratory dyspnea.

Results: The patient was treated by a conservative surgery with no recurrence after two years follow-up.

Conclusion: CT scan and magnetic resonance imaging provide essentiel data on the spread of this benign tumour. The possibility of malignant change and recurrence warrant long-term follow-up.

Subglottic stenosis after double-lumen tube (DLT) intubation is more likely to occur when an oversized DLT, specifically a 35 Fr DLT, is used in older, shorter women. Reintubation in such cases is challenging and may cause additional traumatic laryngitis. Tracheostomy is the best management for subglottic stenosis after DLT intubation.

Thermal burns of the larynx are uncommon but can lead to serious upper airway obstruction due to edema and bleeding, especially in children who may struggle to communicate their symptoms effectively. This report presents the case of a one-year-and-seven-month-old boy who developed stridor and respiratory distress after eating a heated potato, which ultimately required tracheal intubation. The initial evaluation suggested foreign body aspiration; however, laryngoscopy confirmed significant arytenoid swelling and airway narrowing due to thermal burns.
