We describe here a novel, simple, efficient self-assembly method for the in situ generation of [Mn4Cl4(micro-OCH2CH2OMe)4(EtOH)4] and [Mn4(micro-Cl)Cl3(micro-OCH2CH2OMe)4(HOCH2CH2OMe)3]2 cubane-type compounds which react readily with calcium species to form cluster [Mn4Ca2Cl4(micro-OCH2CH2OMe)8], the calcium atoms attached to the Mn4 unit of flatten out the cubane inducing significant conformational changes.

People from refugee and migrant backgrounds often face poor experiences and outcomes in healthcare, and genetic healthcare is no exception. Understanding whether and how these health inequities manifest is an important step towards equitable perinatal genetic screening for genetic or chromosomal conditions (offered preconception, prenatally, or during the newborn period). A scoping review was conducted to review international evidence of perceptions and experiences of perinatal genetic screening for people from migrant and refugee backgrounds.

The aim of the present work is to investigate the photocatalytic degradation of propyl paraben (propyl para-hydroxybenzoate, PrP) using CuO-ZnO-NPs photocatalyst followed by the identification of the oxidation by-products. The CuO-ZnO-NPs material, synthesized using a green chemistry approach, was used as a photocatalyst for the removal of PrP. The nanoparticles were characterized by XRD, XRF, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, ATG/DTG, FTIR, SEM-EDX, BET and FRX techniques.

The depletion of fossil fuels and growing environmental concerns necessitate the exploration of renewable energy sources. Biodiesel, a promising alternative fuel derived from sustainable feedstock, has attracted considerable attention. This study investigates the catalytic esterification of oleic acid, a readily available fatty acid, with ethanol for biodiesel production using a novel heterogeneous catalyst, ZrO/AlO.

Hierarchical organization is prevalent in nature, yet the artificial construction of hierarchical materials featuring asymmetric structures remains a big challenge. Herein, we report a stress-induced self-assembly strategy for the synthesis of hierarchically twisted stripe arrays (HTSAs) with mesoporous structures. A soft and thin mesostructured film assembled by micelles and TiO oligomers is the prerequisite.
