Background: Laparoscopic trocars do create wounds. This article aims to review and list different techniques used for closure of the fascia incision at trocar sites.
Methods: A literature search was performed for articles dealing with closure techniques. The author searched this subject in English on Medline by combining the words "trocar" and "hernia," as well as "Deschamps" and "Reverdin." All articles reporting techniques with their references were reviewed.
Results: The articles described many techniques in addition to classical closure using curved needles, including Grice needle, Maciol needles, Endoclose device, Carter-Thomason device, Tahoe ligature device, Endo-Judge device, eXit puncture closure device, Lowsley retractor, spinal cord needles, dual hemostat, suture carrier, Riverdin and Deschamps needles, and Gore-Tex closure device.
Conclusion: Three main groups of techniques were found with favor of extracorporeal manipulations under direct visualization. Old methods are sufficient and cost-effective.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Perineorrhaphy with levator myorrhaphy is considered a standard part of colpocleisis. Typically, this is done through a separate incision after colpocleisis is completed. We present a video to demonstrate a modified approach to LeFort colpocleisis incorporating perineorrhaphy into the procedure.

Background: The BCG vaccine induces trained immunity, an epigenetic-mediated increase in innate immune responsiveness. Therefore, this clinical trial evaluated if BCG-induced trained immunity could decrease coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)-related frequency or severity.
Methods: A double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of healthcare workers randomized participants to vaccination with BCG TICE or placebo (saline).

Background: The use of PolyNovo NovoSorb biodegradable temporizing matrix (BTM) has become popular for the management of complex wounds, often with the subsequent application of a split-thickness skin graft. To date, there are no published case series describing healing via secondary intention over BTM in the management of small, complex nasal wounds following excision of skin malignancy in the elective setting.
Methods: This study consisted of a single-center, consecutive case series.

Background: Mohs micrographic surgery offers high cure rates of cutaneous malignancies, but surgeons are often faced with large and complicated defects after tumour removal.
Objectives: To assess the safety and complication rates of large flaps and grafts (measuring ≥30 cm) and larger complex linear closures (CLC, ≥12.5 cm, as defined by the American Medical Association Current Procedural Terminology code set), when performed under local anaesthesia.

Background: Transcatheter closure of large and complex atrial septal defect can pose challenges and complications during device placement. To improve stability, several assistive techniques have been developed.
Methods: This retrospective study evaluated the efficacy of the device-assisted device closure technique for large secundum atrial septal defects.
