This paper deduced the Cole-Cole arc equation in form of admittance by the traditional Cole-Cole equation in form of impedance. Comparing to the latter, the former is more adaptive to the electrical impedance scanning which using lower frequency region. When using our own electrical impedance scanning device at 50-5000Hz, the measurement data separated on the arc of the former, while collected near the direct current resistor on the arc of the latter. The four parameters of the former can be evaluated by the least square method. The frequency of the imaginary part of admittance reaching maximum can be calculated by the Cole-Cole parameters. In conclusion, the Cole-Cole arc in form of admittance is more effective to multi-frequency data analyze at lower frequency region, like EIS.

Organic mixed ionic-electronic conductors (OMIECs) could revolutionize bioelectronics by enabling seamless integration with biological systems. This review explores their role in neural biomimicry and biointerfacing, with a focus on how backbone design, sidechain optimization, and antiambipolarity impact performance. Recent advances highlight OMIECs' biocompatibility and mechanical compliance, making them ideal for bioelectronic applications.

The scope of this study was to determine the diagnostic performance of ABSI for obesity and sarcopenic obesity, compared to the results of bioimpedance analysis (BIA) and BMI, by sex and age group. It involved a cross-sectional study with 12,793 participants in the second round of ELSA-Brasil (Longitudinal Study of Adult Health in Brazil), which obtained measurements of body fat percentage using BIA and anthropometry, verifying the performance of the diagnostic tests in order to compare the indices. The results showed that for obesity in men in all three age groups, the sensitivity was below 49%.

Scrub typhus is an infectious disease caused by Orientia tsutsugamushi. It is transmitted through bite of chigger mite larvae and presents with symptoms such as fever, myalgia, headache, rash, and a characteristic eschar at the site of mite bites. This report details the case of a woman exhibiting acute febrile illness, bilateral pneumonia, and severe hypoxemia, prompting suspicion of scrub typhus due to the presence of a typical eschar on the pubic mound.

Creating durable, motion-compliant neural interfaces is crucial for accessing dynamic tissues under in vivo conditions and linking neural activity with behaviors. Utilizing the self-alignment of nano-fillers in a polymeric matrix under repetitive tension, here, we introduce conductive carbon nanotubes with high aspect ratios into semi-crystalline polyvinyl alcohol hydrogels, and create electrically anisotropic percolation pathways through cyclic stretching. The resulting anisotropic hydrogel fibers (diameter of 187 ± 13 µm) exhibit fatigue resistance (up to 20,000 cycles at 20% strain) with a stretchability of 64.

The overexpression of Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) protein is specifically related to tumor cell proliferation in breast cancers. Its presence in biological serum samples indicates presence or progression of cancer, becoming a promise biomarker. However, their detection needs a simple and high accuracy platform.
