By exponential dichotomy about differential equations, a formal almost periodic solution (APS) of a class of cellular neural networks (CNNs) with distributed delays is obtained. Then, within different normed spaces, several sufficient conditions guaranteeing the existence and uniqueness of an APS are proposed using two fixed-point theorems. Based on the continuity property and some inequality techniques, two theorems insuring the global stability of the unique APS are given. Comparing with known literatures, all conclusions are drawn with slacker restrictions, e.g., do not require the integral of the kernel function determining the distributed delays from zero to positive infinity to be one, and the activation functions to be bounded, etc.; besides, all criteria are obtained by different ways. Finally, two illustrative examples show the validity and that all criteria are easy to check and apply.

Background: Rapid, accessible, and accurate testing was paramount to an effective US COVID-19 response. Federal partners supported SARS-CoV-2 testing scale-up through an interagency-coordinated approach that focused on expanding supply chains, research and development, validation, and improving patient access. We aimed to provide an overview of the federal efforts to scale up the testing response and study the impact of scale-up.

This work presents the effect of Polyhydroxybutyrate nanospheres (PHB-NSs) on the bacterial activity of plasmonic nanoparticles (NPs). The PHB-NSs were used as a substrate for the metal-NPs. Silver and gold NPs in colloidal solution were synthesized by chemical reduction, while PHB-NSs were synthesized by a physical method.

Partial wave analysis is key to interpretation of the photoionization of atoms and molecules on the attosecond timescale. Here we propose a heterodyne analysis approach, based on the delay-resolved anisotropy parameters to reveal the role played by high-order partial waves during photoionization. This extends the Reconstruction of Attosecond Beating By Interference of Two-photon Transitions technique into the few-photon regime.

Background: Because tertiary centres are generally situated at urban sites, it is unclear whether patients in rural areas have the same access to surgical services that patients in urban areas do. We sought to map the North American evidence landscape of how rurality affects access to medically indicated surgeries and identify system-, patient-, and provider-level barriers that preclude urban-comparable care.
Methods: We carried out a systematic search adhering to PRISMA for Scoping Reviews methodology across PubMed, MEDLINE, Scopus, and Web of Science, encompassing literature from the last 26 years (January 2023).

Background: Microglia are central players in Alzheimer's Disease (AD) pathology, but analyzing microglia states in human brain samples is challenging due to genetic diversity, postmortem delay and admixture of pathologies.
Method: To circumvent these issues, here we collected 138,577 single cell expression profiles of human stem cell derived-microglia from a xenotransplantation model of AD.
Result: Xenografted human microglia adopt a disease-associated (DAM) profile similar to that seen in mouse microglia, but display a more pronounced HLA state, likely related to antigen presentation in response to amyloid plaques.
