Purpose: The impact of academic research is not just important within the clinical domain but within society as a whole. Altmetric Attention Score (AAS) offers a means of assessing how scholarly outputs are interacted with online. Vascularised Composite Allotransplantation (VCA) is a modern but rapidly evolving topic which encompasses a broad range of complex and clinically significant surgical interventions.

Objective: This study aimed to compare preoperative and postoperative measures in haemophiliacs who had simultaneous total hip and knee arthroplasties.
Methods: A retrospective database search identified five patients with severe factor 8 deficiencies who underwent simultaneous hip and knee joint replacement surgery between 2002-2018. Preoperative and postoperative evaluations included Harris Hip Score (HHS), Knee Society Score (KSS), Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), range of motion, flexion contracture (FC), Visual Analog Scale (VAS), hip-knee angle, and leg length discrepancy.
Synchrotron X-ray microtomography (S-µCT) is a highly valuable technique for investigating organ function and pathologies. However, its application is often limited by high radiation doses and the occurrence of ring artifacts. While S-µCT utilizing sparse-view projections can effectively decrease radiation doses, the reconstructed images frequently exhibit severe streaking artifacts, which are exacerbated by ring artifacts, ultimately compromising reconstruction accuracy, image quality, and resolution.

The pulse characterization scheme removes many restrictions posed by former methods, leaving the avoidance of resonant ionization as a single boundary. It is widely and easily applicable at low cost and effort for common attosecond beamlines and allows for the robust and accurate in-situ retrieval of two unknown laser fields.

Creating durable, motion-compliant neural interfaces is crucial for accessing dynamic tissues under in vivo conditions and linking neural activity with behaviors. Utilizing the self-alignment of nano-fillers in a polymeric matrix under repetitive tension, here, we introduce conductive carbon nanotubes with high aspect ratios into semi-crystalline polyvinyl alcohol hydrogels, and create electrically anisotropic percolation pathways through cyclic stretching. The resulting anisotropic hydrogel fibers (diameter of 187 ± 13 µm) exhibit fatigue resistance (up to 20,000 cycles at 20% strain) with a stretchability of 64.
