This paper is a theoretical reflection on the possibilities of Permanent Education at work as a means to care for the caregiver. Educational practices are used to value caregiver's creativity, participation, and autonomy, bearing in mind his/her uniqueness in diversity. It indicates the possibility of education as an act of care, by inter-relating these two actions, and setting up the Educating and Caring process that occurs in the work setting and includes attitudes and responsibilities. The experience of this encounter has an unique meaning for each person involved, and promotes both personal-physical, emotional, technical, scientific and ethical--and institutional transformations.
