Perforation of the duodenum after trauma has a low incidence and its coincidence with BTAI is very rare. The clinical condition of the patient is very important for deciding the treatment priority. In this patient, considering the stable condition and degree of aorta injury, we chose TEVAR before laparotomy.

Cardiovascular diseases remain a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and renal artery stenosis (RAS) standing out as significant contributors to the vascular pathology spectrum. While these conditions have traditionally been approached as distinct entities, emerging evidence suggests a compelling interdependent relationship between AAA and RAS, challenging the conventional siloed understanding. The confluence of AAA and RAS represents a complex interplay within the cardiovascular system, one that is often overlooked in clinical practice and research.

We report FDG PET/CT findings of fumarate hydratase-deficient renal cell carcinoma coincidence with para-aortic paraganglioma in a 27-year-old man. He presented with painless gross hematuria for 3 days. CT identified an enhancing lesion in the left kidney, suggestive of a tumor.

PCSK9 promotes vascular neointimal hyperplasia through non-lipid regulation of vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation, migration, and autophagy.

We aim to explore the impact of Proprotein convertase subtilisin-kexin type 9 (PCSK9) and its inhibitor evolocumab on neointimal hyperplasia. Wild type and PCSK9 knockout (PCSK9) mice were subjected to ligation of the common carotid artery, with or without subcutaneous injection of evolocumab. Mouse aortic vascular smooth muscle (MOVAS) cells were pretreated with evolocumab or under siRNA-mediated suppression of PCSK9, and then exposed to platelet-derived growth factor type BB(PDGF-BB), a major promoter of MOVAS transformation to a proliferative phenotype.

Objectives: A simple noninvasive microsphere (SIMS) method using I-IMP and an improved brain uptake ratio (IBUR) method using Tc-ECD for the quantitative measurement of regional cerebral blood flow have been recently reported. The input functions of these methods were determined using the administered dose, which was obtained by analyzing the time activity curve of the pulmonary artery (PA) for SIMS and the ascending aorta (AAo) for the IBUR methods for dynamic chest images. If the PA and AAo regions of interest (ROIs) can be determined using deep convolutional neural networks (DCNN) for segmentation, the accuracy of these ROI-setting methods can be improved through simple analytical operations to ensure repeatability and reproducibility.
