A rare case of a young nonsmoker woman with Sjigren's syndrome and salivary gland non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, diagnosed one year later, is presented. Three years after treatment of the lymphoma, asymptomatic progression of the Sjögren 's syndrome was observed with pulmonary involvement--predominantly bullous or cystic lung disease. To our knowledge, this is the only report of Sjögren 's syndrome associated with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in salivary gland, and complicated with multiple lung cysts.

An 80-year-old woman with a history of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma presented to the emergency department with exertional dyspnea and lower limb edema. CNS lymphoma is a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma that primarily affects the brain, spinal cord, leptomeninges, or eyes, leading to severe neurological or ophthalmological complications. This case report details a 44-year-old male with human immunodeficiency virus and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma who experienced permanent vision loss due to optic perineuritis, a rare presenting symptom indicative of underlying CNS involvement. Despite previous remission, imaging revealed focal enhancements suggesting CNS lymphoma, highlighting diagnostic and management challenges in relapsed lymphoma, especially in immunocompromised patients.

Background: 7-Hydroxymethotrexate (7-OHMTX) is the main metabolite in plasma following high-dose MTX (HD-MTX), which may result in activity and toxicity of the MTX. Moreover, 7-OHMTX could produce crystalline-like deposits within the renal tubules under acidic conditions or induce renal inflammation, oxidative stress, and cell apoptosis through various signaling pathways, ultimately leading to kidney damage.
