A simple, rapid, and reproducible high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method has been developed and validated for the determination of β-sitosterol in the pharmaceutical dosage form of moist exposed burn ointment (MEBO). This method involved an effective sample procedure for extraction of β-sitosterol from MEBO using an alkali saponification agent composed of 0.8 N ethanolic NaOH and diethyl ether.

The eukaryotic genome is packaged into chromatin, which is composed of a nucleosomal filament that coils up to form more compact structures. Chromatin exists in two main forms: euchromatin, which is relatively decondensed and enriched in transcriptionally active genes, and heterochromatin, which is condensed and transcriptionally repressed . It is widely accepted that chromatin architecture modulates DNA accessibility, restricting the access of sequence-specific, gene-regulatory, transcription factors to the genome.

Depression is more than just feeling sad. It is a severe and multifaceted mental health condition that impacts millions of individuals around the globe. Regrettably, it can even be more prevalent in university students of underdeveloped and developing countries like Bangladesh because of academic pressure, family and societal expectations, financial limitations, stigmatized social and cultural norms, unemployment concerns, lack of mental health awareness, etc.

Enzyme immobilization techniques are crucial for enhancing enzyme stability and catalytic efficiency. Traditional methods such as physical adsorption and simple covalent binding often fail to maintain enzyme activity and stability. In this study, an innovative multi-level immobilization strategy was proposed to achieve efficient targeted immobilization of nuclease P1 (NP1) by fine-tuning the surface microenvironment.

This study presents a facile one-pot synthesis method to fabricate BiFeO-BiFeO-BiO heterojunction photocatalysts with controllable compositions and pure phases. Three different binary heterojunctions (BiFeO/BiFeO, BiFeO/BiO, and BiFeO/BiO) and a ternary BiFeO/BiFeO/BiO heterojunction were formed, all exhibiting significantly enhanced photocatalytic performance for the degradation of methylene blue (MB) and phenol under visible light irradiation, outperforming the individual compositions. Notably, the BiFeO/BiFeO heterojunction achieved the highest degradation efficiency (93.
