Real-time three-dimensional echocardiography is currently used in a standard echocardiographic examination. Volume-rendered images better identify and locate anatomic structures and improve our comprehensive approach to various heart diseases. The assessment of mitral valve disease and congenital cardiopathies and the measurement of left ventricular mass, volume, and ejection fraction are the three main applications of three-dimensional echocardiography. Three-dimensional vascular imaging is an emerging and promising application of three-dimensional echography. The near future of three-dimensional echography requires the integration of all modalities of conventional echography in three dimensional probes, a higher image resolution compared to the current situation, as well as the development of real-time three-dimensional probes dedicated to transesophageal cardiac or vascular examination.

Two-dimensional layered materials (2DLMs) have received increasing attention for their potential in bioelectronics due to their favorable electrical, optical, and mechanical properties. The transformation of the planar structures of 2DLMs into complex 3D shapes is a key strategic step toward creating conformal biointerfaces with cells and applying them as scaffolds to simultaneously guide their growth to tissues and enable integrated bioelectronic monitoring. Using a strain-engineered self-foldable bilayer, we demonstrate the facile formation of predetermined 3D microstructures of 2DLMs with controllable curvatures, called microrolls.

Oral and maxillofacial diagnostic imaging is of paramount importance in dental clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up procedures. Periapical radiographic examination and numerous panoramic systems are used in routine clinical dental practice. Cone beam CT is widely used and currently the method of choice in oral and maxillofacial implantology, endodontics, maxillofacial surgery, periodontics, degenerative temporomandibular joint disease, orthodontics, airway studies, sleep disorders, and forensic dentistry.

A solution method to improve an anechoic chamber at low frequencies with the use of active noise control is presented. The approach uses the Kirchhoff-Helmholtz integral to compute the reflected sound field resulting from the primary sources together with an algorithm to compute the filter coefficients of a controller driving secondary sources on the walls of the enclosure using reference signals as inputs, which are measured on a contour enclosing the primary sources. A causal frequency domain method with conjugate gradient iterations is derived to determine the controller.

To address the challenges of high computational complexity and poor real-time performance in binocular vision-based Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) formation flight, this paper introduces a UAV localization algorithm based on a lightweight object detection model. Firstly, we optimized the YOLOv5s model using lightweight design principles, resulting in Yolo-SGN. This model achieves a 65.

Background: Human mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) possess regenerative potential due to pluripotency and paracrine functions. However, their stemness and immunomodulatory capabilities are sub-optimal in conventional two-dimensional (2D) culture.
Aim: To enhance the efficiency and therapeutic efficacy of MSCs, an -like 3D culture condition was applied.
