Inflammatory bowel disease is a collection of intestinal disorders that cause inflammation in the digestive tract. Prolonged inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract is a major risk factor for colorectal cancer. The objective of this study was to fucus on gene expression levels of (KRT-14; associated with epithelial cell integrity) and enhancer of zeste homolog-1 (EZH-2; involved in cellular proliferation) in a IBD rat model in order to rule out impact of nutraceuticals (pumpkin seed oil; PSO) as a complementary approach to conventional treatments of IBD.

Background: Papua is a high-endemic region for malaria in Indonesia. Malaria transmission is heavily influenced by environmental factors, particularly those related to vector breeding habitats and the homes of infected individuals. Communities in high-endemic areas also exhibit risk behaviors that can increase the likelihood of malaria transmission.

Purpose: The present study aims at exploring the effect of pitch, loudness, vowel, and voice condition on supraglottic activity among female participants with voice disorders and among female participants with normal voices.
Methods: Forty-four volunteers were recruited. Inclusion criteria for the dysphonic group were: 1) age between 20 and 50 years, 2) reporting at least 1 year-long history of voice problems, 3) moderate or severe dysphonia.

Method: A phenomenological design was used in this study, with its conceptual framework being formed by the Roy Adaptation Model. The sample was composed of women with precancerous cervical lesions (n:23) and their spouses (n:5).
