Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise in heterogeneous metal catalysis benefiting from their robust, crystalline, and porous structures. However, synthetic challenges persist in prolonged crystallization times, limited metal loading, and uncertain coordination environments. Here, we present the rapid crystallization and versatile metalation of new acetylhydrazone-linked COFs (AH-COFs) by condensation of ketone and hydrazide components, featuring full conversion within 30 min under open-air and mild conditions.

Transversal maxillary deficiency is a prevalent skeletal issue that can be addressed using various devices and methods, including rapid maxillary expansion (RME) and surgically assisted rapid maxillary expansion (SARME). These techniques involve the separation and regeneration of the midpalatal suture (MPS). Laser therapies, such as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) and photobiomodulation (PBM), have been proposed to improve biological wound or bone healing.

Heading toward the next-generation intelligent optical device, the meta-optics active tunability is one of the most desirable properties to expand its versatility beyond the traditional optical devices. Despite its advances via various tunable approaches, the encoding freedom of tuning capability still critically restricts its widespread engagement and dynamics in real-life applications. Here, we present a gesture-interactive scheme by topography flexible metasurfaces (TFMs) to expand the encoding freedom for the tuning capability.

Purpose: To investigate long-term chronic postoperative inguinal pain (CPIP), QoL and recurrence in patients with a primary inguinal hernia comparing TEP to Lichtenstein.
Material And Methods: A questionnaire-based follow-up containing the Inguinal Pain Questionnaire (IPQ), the Cunningham Pain Scale and SF-36 was done 8 years after the TEPLICH RCT. The main objective was non-ignorable pain last week according to IPQ.

Background: As of 2021, at least 4 out of every 5 hospitals offered patients access to clinical notes via a web-based patient portal, a number that is expected to grow because of the 21st Century Cures Act. There is limited data on how open note use may have evolved over time or which types of clinical interactions were viewed most in the outpatient setting.
Objective: This study aims to analyze trends in outpatient open note access over time; characterize usage in terms of age, sex, and clinical interaction type; and assess the method of access to help uncover areas of improvement in patient engagement and identify further areas of research.
