Aluminum is a well-known and widely distributed environmental neurotoxin. This study aimed to investigate the effect of miR-98-5p targeting insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2) on aluminum neurotoxicity. Thirty-two Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups and administered 0, 10, 20, and 40 μmol/kg maltol aluminum [Al(mal)], respectively.

In this paper, an improved version of the classical equivalent radiated power (ERP) approximation is proposed based on principled physical arguments. A geometry-, frequency-, and vibration pattern-dependent approximation of radiation efficiency is developed and used as a corrective factor for the classical ERP approximation. The proposed method called "radiation efficiency varying equivalent radiated power" (revERP), is shown to greatly improve the accuracy of classical ERP at low Helmholtz numbers, while attaining the accuracy of classical ERP at high Helmholtz numbers.

Although several environmental factors may increase the risk of nervous system anomalies, the association between exposure to particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of ≤ 2.5 μm (PM) and nervous system anomalies is not completely understood. This study aimed to examine the association between expoure to PM and nervous system anomalies, including specific phenotypes during preconception and early pregnancy and determine the crucial time windows.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the alterations in sleep quality and sleep patterns among military personnel at altitudes ranging from 1500 to 4500 m, as well as the associated factors influencing their sleep.
Methods: This study employed a longitudinal prospective survey conducted over a period of six months, from November 2023 to June 2024. A total of 90 soldiers were recruited for participation.

Background: The rate at which atrial fibrillation (AF) patients experience a return of symptoms after catheter ablation is significant, and there are multiple risk factors involved. This research intends to perform a meta-analysis to explore the risk factors connected to the recurrence of AF in patients following catheter ablation.
Methods: The PubMed, Cochrane Library, WOS, Embase, SinoMed, CNKI, Wanfang, and VIP databases were explored for studies from January 1, 2000 to August 10, 2021, and research meeting the established inclusion requirements was chosen.
