Objectives: To analyse the impacts of multiple rounds of National Centralised Drug Procurement Policy (NCDP) and National Drug Price Negotiation Policy (NDPN) on the utilisation, expenditure and daily cost of novel hypoglycaemic drugs.
Design: The drug procurement data were obtained from the Shanghai Medical Procurement Agency between January 2016 and December 2022. We examined changes in volume, expenditure of overall hypoglycaemic drugs by descriptive analysis.

Background: Currently, there is no relevant study comparing sodium-dependent glucose transporter 2 inhibitors (SGLT2i), glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RA), and dipeptidyl peptidase inhibitor (DPP4i) head to head to evaluate their comprehensive impact on heart failure patients.
Methods: We conducted a comprehensive literature search across multiple databases. Utilizing the risk of bias tool from the Cochrane Collaboration, the methodological quality of included studies was critically assessed and potential publication bias was examined via funnel plots.

Due to the increased prevalence of diabetes, the consumption of anti-diabetic drugs for its treatment has likewise increased. Metformin is an anti-diabetic drug that is commonly prescribed for patients with type 2 diabetes and has been frequently detected in surface water and wastewaters, thus representing an emerging contaminant. Metformin can be prescribed in combination with other classes of anti-diabetic drugs; however, these drugs are not sufficiently investigated in environmental samples.

A randomized, open-label, 2-period, 2-sequence crossover study was conducted to evaluate the pharmacokinetics and bioequivalence of 2 oral formulations of vildagliptin tablets under both fasting and fed conditions in healthy Chinese subjects. A total of 56 healthy subjects were randomized to receive a single 50-mg dose of either a generic vildagliptin tablet (T) or the reference formulation (R). The washout period was 3 days.

The subthreshold A-type potassium current (I), mediated by Kv4, is a hyperpolarizing current that decreases neuronal excitability. The Kv4 accessory proteins, DPP6 and DPP10 (DPPs), modulate the current. Thus, agents that modify the binding of DPPs to these channels affect neuronal excitability.
