Background: The occurrence of periprosthetic femoral fractures (PFFs) in cementless total hip arthroplasty (THA) might be associated with the proximal femoral morphology and the pelvis. PFFs in short stem THA are associated with an increased Canal Flare Index. PFFs in straight stem THA show a decreased Canal Flare Index.

Study Design: Retrospective observational study.
Objective: To evaluate whether the combined American Spine Registry and Medicare (ASR/CMS) data yields substantially different findings versus ASR data alone with regard to key parameters such as risk stratification, complication rates and readmission rates in lumbar surgery investigated through an analysis of 8,755 spondylolisthesis cases.
Summary Of Background Data: Medicare data correlation has been effective for determining revision rates for other procedures such as total hip replacement.

Background: The degenerative spondylosis can cause the difficulty in maintaining sagittal and coronal alignment of spine, and X-ray parameters are the gold standard to analyze the malalignment. This study aimed to develop a new 3D full body scanner to analyze the spinal balance and compare it to X-ray parameters.
Methods: Ninety-seven adult participants who suffer degenerative spondylosis underwent 3D full body scanning, whole spine X-rays, clinical questionnaires and body composition analyses.
