Post-transplant lymphoproliferative diseases (PTLDs) constitute a group of potentially life-threatening complications in solid organ transplantation, occurring in 1-2% of kidney transplant recipients. The absolute number of cases occurring at each transplant center remains small, making it difficult to assess incidence, prognosis, and treatment. We report a case of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder that developed in the allograft renal parenchyma 2 years after renal transplantation. This case implies that partial nephrectomy may be a safe and effective treatment protocol for renal lymphoma in allograft kidneys.

Rearrangements involving the DUX4 gene (DUX4-r) define a subtype of paediatric and adult acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) with a favourable outcome. Currently, there is no 'standard of care' diagnostic method for their confident identification. Here, we present an open-source software tool designed to detect DUX4-r from short-read, whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data.

This study investigated the effect of surgery on the prognosis of patients with primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) using data from the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results (SEER) database. A cohort of 5932 patients was analyzed, with 1466 undergoing surgical intervention (780 subtotal resection (STR), 686 gross total resection (GTR)) and 4466 receiving no surgery or biopsy only. The median age of the study population was 61.

Multiple myeloma (MM) is an incurable blood cancer with unclear aetiology. Proteomics is a valuable tool in exploring mechanisms of disease. We investigated the causal relationship between circulating proteins and MM risk, using two of the largest cohorts with proteomics data to-date.

Myelomatous bone disease is a complication characterized by lytic bone lesions, reduced bone formation, bone pain, and increased fracture risk. Understanding these underlying mechanisms is crucial for developing effective therapeutic approaches. Here we show the role of enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) in bone lesions induced by myeloma cells.

Cas12a is a next-generation gene editing tool that enables multiplexed gene targeting. Here, we present a mouse model that constitutively expresses enhanced Acidaminococcus sp. Cas12a (enAsCas12a) linked to an mCherry fluorescent reporter.
