As the depth of coal mining in China continues to increase, the fracturing of coal rock masses has an increasingly complex impact on the surrounding rock roadways. The majority of the mine's roadways run through coal rock masses with hard roofs and soft bottoms, which typically exhibit complex dynamic behaviour. To further research the mechanical behaviour and fracture evolution of coal rock masses under hard-roof and soft-floor conditions, the study is based on the majority of working faces in a mine, which have hard roofs and soft floors.

Background: To maintain sustainability in the health care system, technology such as social alarms and sensors has been implemented in people's homes with the goal of increasing independent living for elderly and multimorbid health care recipients. When implementing technology, someone needs to monitor and answer the alarms and calls, which is often coined 'telecare'. The transition to net zero emissions requires the capture of carbon dioxide from industrial point sources, and direct air capture (DAC) from the atmosphere for geological storage. Dissolved CO has reactivity to rock core, and while the majority of previous studies have concentrated on reservoir rock or cap-rock reactivity, the underlying seal formation may also react with CO. Drill core from the underlying seal of a target CO storage site was reacted at in situ conditions with pure CO, and compared with an impure CO stream with SO, NO and O that could be expected from hard to abate industries.

Bedford, 1931 is the sole extant tick species that belongs to the genus and family and Nuttalliellidae respectively. With the characteristics that are respectively distinctive to hard and soft ticks, it is regarded as the species closest to the ancestral lineage of ticks as well as the missing link between the Argasidae and Ixodidae families. In this review, literature search of the articles reporting on was done in Google Scholar and PubMed databases.
