Purpose: The real-world effectiveness of switching from denosumab to romosozumab remains controversial. Sequential therapy with romosozumab was shown to be associated with inadequate suppression of bone resorption and there was anecdotal evidence of major osteoporotic fractures (MOFs) after transitioning from denosumab to romosozumab. This study evaluated the effects on bone resorption of early romosozumab administration 3 months after denosumab withdrawal in fractured women with post-menopausal osteoporosis.

Background: Sarcopenia is a common condition in the elderly, especially in diabetics (DM). Metformin (MTF), known to reduce glucose levels, can also be a therapeutic intervention in age-related diseases, although it may contribute to muscle loss.
Objectives: To compare the prevalence of sarcopenia among elderly people treated for DM, with or without MTF, and non-diabetic patients (NDM) and evaluate whether there is an association between the use of MTF and the development of sarcopenia.

Aim/hypothesis: Pilots with type 1 diabetes are required to perform capillary glucose monitoring regularly during flights. Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) may be an effective and more practical alternative. This study aimed to assess the accuracy of CGM systems against self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG) during a hypobaric flight simulation.

Invading blood cells, extracellular tissue, and soluble mediators all play important roles in the wound-healing process. There is a substantial global burden of disease and mortality attributable to skin defects that do not heal. About 1% to 2% of the population in industrialized nations suffers from chronic wounds that don't heal, despite healthcare breakthroughs; this condition is very costly, costing about $25 billion each year in the US alone.

Aims: The utilization of targeted metabolomics technology promises to facilitate the identification of novel metabolic markers in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), which may in turn facilitate a more comprehensive investigation of the underlying mechanisms of gestational diabetes GDM.
Materials And Methods: In this study, we used targeted metabolomics to identify serum metabolites from women with or without GDM. The differential metabolites were categorized and analysed using pathway analyses, correlated with maternal glucose level, and assessed as predictors of GDM by receiver operating characteristics analysis.
