This study demonstrates that the stromal thymus elements of postcapillary venules are the source of desmin-positive mesenchyme from which both myoid and epithelial cells arise. The double staining revealed various degrees of desmin and keratin positivity in the same kind of cells in the medulla as well as in Hassall's corpuscles. Hassall's corpuscles seem to arise from several kinds of cells of which one appears to be monocytogenic and expressed S100 protein.

Introduction: Perivascular Epithelioid Cell tumor (PEComa) is a rare mesenchymal neoplasm characterized by the co-expression of melanocytic and myoid markers. While PEComas can arise in diverse anatomical sites, gastric PEComas are exceedingly rare, with merely nine cases documented in the extant literature.
Case Presentation: Herein, we have presented a case of gastric PEComa in a 65-year-old male patient who exhibited a 3-year history of epigastric pain, with notable exacerbation in the two months prior to diagnosis.

Thymic epithelial cells participate in the maturation and selection of T lymphocytes. This review explores recent insights from single-cell sequencing regarding classifying thymic epithelial cells in both normal and neoplastic thymus. Cortical thymic epithelial cells facilitate thymocyte differentiation and contribute to positive selection.

Aquaporins (AQPs), also known as water channels, appear to be particularly promising in maintaining male reproductive potential. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the presence of classical AQPs in the bovine () reproductive system and analyze changes in their expression with age using immunohistochemistry and Western blotting. Of the six classical AQPs, AQP0, AQP1, AQP4, AQP5 and AQP6 were detected, while AQP2 was absent.

Crucian carp (Carassius carassius) is an important aquatic economic animal, and the immune barrier function of its intestine has been a focus of research into oral vaccines and drugs. However, the histological structures of the intestinal barrier and its adjacent areas have not been clearly established, and little subcellular evidence is available to elucidate the spatial distribution of intracellular biological processes. In this study, the spatial distribution of autophagy and endosome formation in the intestinal epithelial cells (IECs) of crucian carp were analyzed.

Heparan sulfate (HS), an abundant component of the apical cell surface and basement membrane, belongs to the glycosaminoglycan family of carbohydrates covalently linked to proteins called heparan sulfate proteoglycans. After endocytosis, HS is degraded in the lysosome by several enzymes, including heparan-alpha-glucosaminide N-acetyltransferase (HGSNAT), and in its absence causes Mucopolysaccharidosis III type C (Sanfilippo type C). Since endocytosis occurs in epithelial cells of the testis and epididymis, we examined the morphological effects of Hgsnat inactivation in these organs.
