Background: The principal objective of our study is to evaluate the characteristics of babies with type 1 ROP, screening practices and treatment trends in a tertiary care centre in Pakistan.
Methods: This prospective study at Mayo Hospital, Lahore (July 2022-July 2024), included 89 preterm infants with type 1 ROP, selected using non-probability sampling. Infants were categorized based on international (GA < 32weeks or BW < 1500 g) and local screening criteria (GA < 35 weeks or BW < 2000 g), and treatment outcomes were evaluated across three groups: Anti-VEGF, combination therapy (Anti-VEGF followed by laser), and laser therapy.

Background: The factors affecting the prolonged air leak (PAL) and expansion failure in the lung in patients undergoing resection for lung malignancy were analyzed. In this context, the value of the percentage of low attenuation area (LAA%) measured on preoperative quantitative chest computed tomography (Q-: CT) in predicting the development of postoperative PAL and the expansion time of the remaining lung (ET) in patients undergoing resection for lung malignancy was investigated.
Methods: The data of 202 cases who underwent lung resection between July 2020 and December 2022 were analyzed.

Background: Research on physically active learning (PAL) has mainly been investigated experimentally, where interventions have been introduced to study effects on, for example, physical activity (PA) levels. This might undermine real-world contexts and realistic PA levels when teachers have sustained PAL in their regular teaching practice for several years. The purpose of this study was to observe and describe the organization and content of a variety of teaching where PAL was enacted by experienced teachers and to describe the corresponding PA levels and PA intensity in real-world practices.

Objective: Adolescents are meant to spend a large part of their time practicing a hobby or sport, but currently there is a decline in their level of physical activity and sport both inside and outside schools, which can lead to a risk of obesity. The objective of the present study was to examine physical activity in obese adolescents within the school establishments of the province of Bejaia (northeastern Algeria).
Method: To determine the physical activity level (PAL) in the school population, a sample of 3,038 students with obesity comprising 1,635 girls and 1,403 boys was selected.
