Aberrant large-scale resting-state functional connectivity (rsFC) has been frequently documented in ischemic stroke. However, it remains unclear about the altered patterns of within- and across-network connectivity. The purpose of this meta-analysis was to identify the altered rsFC in patients with ischemic stroke relative to healthy controls, as well as to reveal longitudinal changes of network dysfunctions across acute, subacute, and chronic phases.

Biased µ-opioid receptor (MOR) agonists enhance pain relief by selectively activating G protein-coupled receptor signaling and minimizing β-arrestin-2 activation, resulting in fewer side effects. This multicenter Phase II/III trial evaluated the optimal dosage, efficacy, and safety of SHR8554, a biased MOR agonist, for postoperative pain management following orthopedic surgery. In Phase II, 121 patients were divided into four groups to receive varying patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) doses of SHR8554 or morphine.

Background: In pediatric patients, the use of processed EEG monitoring may reduce the amount of anesthesia administered while maintaining adequate depth of anesthesia.
Aims: The primary aim of this study was to evaluate whether use of a BIS monitor to guide sevoflurane administration might reduce the average end tidal sevoflurane concentration used in children 4-18 years of age.
Methods: Participants in three age groups (4-8, 9-12, and 13-18 years) were randomized to either the BIS guided group or the control group.

Hypermethylation of tumor suppressor genes is a hallmark of leukemia. The hypomethylating agent decitabine covalently binds, and degrades DNA (cytosine-5)-methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1). Structural similarities within DNA-binding domains of DNMT1, and the leukemic driver histone-lysine N-methyltransferase 2A (KMT2A) suggest that decitabine might also affect the latter.
