We describe a 44-year-old woman with progressive headache, ataxia, and seizures in association with multifocal cerebral and cerebellar leukoencephalopathy, intracranial calcifications, and cysts. The cause of death was intracerebellar hemorrhage while taking warfarin. Pathologic features on biopsy included angiomatous-like blood vessels, intense gliosis, and Rosenthal fiber formation in the white matter. Genetic analyses did not identify any significant mutations in two candidate genes.

Complication after carotid artery revascularization is mainly represented by stroke. Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome triggering by carotid artery revascularization is exceptional but it is an unrecognized aetiology of stroke. It could be associated with brain edema and henceforth, a posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome can be confused with post-carotid artery revascularization cerebral hyperperfusion syndrome.

Background: Peak-width of skeletonized mean diffusivity (PSMD), a neuroimaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease (SVD), has shown excellent instrumental properties. Here, we extend our work to perform a biological validation of PSMD.
Methods: We included 396 participants from the Biomarkers for Vascular Contributions to Cognitive Impairment and Dementia (MarkVCID-1) Consortium and three replication samples (Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology = 6172, Rush University Medical Center = 287, University of California Davis Alzheimer's Disease Research Center = 567).

Background: New onset seizures in pregnancy and postpartum are considered eclampsia as the default diagnosis. Other causes, such as intracranial haemorrhage, subarachnoid haemorrhage, cerebral venous sinus thrombosis or acute ischaemic stroke, have a similar mode of presentation, but need prompt diagnosis and institution of specific measures to decrease the risk of mortality and morbidity. Neuroimaging plays an important role in providing a specific diagnosis and hence aids in proper management.
