Wilms' tumor (WT), also known as nephroblastoma, is a malignant embryonal kidney tumor composed of embryonic cells and is the most prevalent tumor among children, but isolated cases occur infrequently in the adult population. Adult WT is defined according to the criteria of Kilton, Matthews, and Cohen, which comprise age above 15 years and histological patterns characteristic of WT. We report a case of an adult WT with venous thrombus on an incomplete duplex collecting system.

Background: The gluteus medius and minimus muscles play a critical role in hip biomechanics, however there is a paucity of literature examining the impact of preoperative gluteal pathology on outcomes following total hip arthroplasty (THA). This study compared pain, satisfaction, and functional outcomes among patients who had and did not have preoperative gluteal pathology after direct anterior (DA) THA.
Methods: Using an institutional total joint registry, patients undergoing DA THA for osteoarthritis between 2010 and 2022 were retrospectively reviewed.

Introduction And Importance: Retroperitoneal schwannomas are extremely rare, benign tumors originating from Schwann cells in peripheral nerve sheaths, with few reported cases. Their deep location and nonspecific symptoms make preoperative diagnosis challenging, often requiring imaging and surgical resection for confirmation. This case highlights an uncommon presentation of retroperitoneal schwannoma in a young patient, emphasizing its rarity.

New psychoactive substances (NPS) are health-hazardous through unpredictable toxicity and effects and largely unknown epidemiology, motivating studies of the latter. Up to 138 NPS were retrospectively identified using liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry data from all 34 183 oral fluid drug samples collected in one Swedish health care region 2019-2020 representing 9468 psychiatric and addiction care patients. In total, 618 findings representing 58 NPS were detected in 481 samples from 201 patients.
