The National Research Council (NRC) is for the first time including the field of nutrition in its Assessment of Research Doctorate Programs in 2006. This assessment will rate doctoral programs, in terms of research impact and graduate student support and outcomes, through the use of questionnaires and standardized national databases (such as research funding, publications, and citations of publications) rather than through name recognition as was used in past NRC surveys of graduate programs. Nutritionists can make this survey more valuable to the field by making sure all eligible faculty involved in training of graduate students in nutrition are included in the survey, by encouraging all eligible faculty members to complete the faculty questionnaire, and by being prepared to use and discuss the data and reports when they are released in 2007. The nutrition community should use the data from this national survey to strengthen doctoral programs and research in nutrition.

Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the use of antiretroviral drugs as post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for preventing HIV acquisition for occupational and non-occupational exposures. To inform the development of global WHO recommendations on PEP, we reviewed national guidelines of PEP for their recommendations.
Methods: Policies addressing PEP from 38 WHO HIV priority countries were obtained by searching governmental and non-governmental websites and consulting country and regional experts; these countries were selected based on HIV burden, new HIV acquisitions and the number of HIV-associated deaths.

Background: Predicted nursing deficits and low nursing student retention rates highlighted the need to investigate cultivation of grit, a malleable trait involving perseverance and passion to achieve long-term goals amidst challenges and difficulties.
Objective: The objective of this study was to identify how cultivation of grit and additional academic and non-academic strategies aided gritty second-year associate degree-seeking nursing students in addressing nursing program challenges and completing their nursing program.
Methods: Twenty-two second-year associate degree-seeking nursing students in rural central Arizona completed demographic and Grit-O Scale questions using Survey Monkey™ and participated in semi-structured interviews or focus group discussions held from September through December 2022.

Ultraviolet (UV) exposure causes direct and indirect damages to skin structures. Human adipose stem cell-conditioned medium (hASC-CM) is a collection of several soluble factors, such as cytokines, chemokines, and Growth Factors (GF), secreted by almost all living cells in the extracellular space which support wound healing and skin rejuvenation. To determine the effects of human adipose stem cell-conditioned medium (hASC-CM) in photoaged skin and evaluate photoaging improvement after treatment.
