Neurological disorders encompass a complex and heterogeneous spectrum of diseases affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nervous system, each presenting unique challenges that extend well beyond primary neurological symptoms. These disorders profoundly impact cardiovascular health, prompting an intensified exploration into the intricate interconnections between the neurological and cardiovascular systems. This review synthesizes current insights and research on cardiovascular comorbidities associated with major neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and Alzheimer's disease.

Drought is a complex phenomenon with multifactorial impacts, requiring a multiscale approach for effective understanding and management. This study presents an innovative operational framework, "Drought Scan," designed to deepen drought understanding, improve monitoring, and streamline climate services to support effective adaptation and mitigation against drought impacts. At the core of the framework is a methodology that integrates two standardized indices: the standardized precipitation and streamflow indices (SPI and SQI, respectively).

Uterine leiomyomata, or fibroids, are common gynecological tumors causing pelvic and menstrual symptoms that can negatively affect quality of life and child-bearing desires. As fibroids grow, symptoms can intensify and lead to invasive treatments that are less likely to preserve fertility. Identifying individuals at highest risk for fibroids can aid in access to earlier diagnoses.

Introduction: Sepsis is the leading contributor to acute kidney injury (AKI), responsible for 45-70% of AKI occurrences. Despite this, septic AKI is a highly multifactorial and complex condition, and our grasp of its pathogenesis is still not fully developed. Consequently, there remains a significant gap in effective diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for septic AKI.
