Objective: To analyze whether screen time is related to lower academic performance in second-cycle students and to determine differences by sex.
Subjects And Method: Analytical, retrospective, and cross-sectional research. 733 students from the 5th to 8th year of public schools participating in the study "school health and performance survey in the Biobío province 2018" were recruited.

Objectives: To describe the prevalence of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) in Chilean schoolchil dren and study associated risk factors.
Patients And Method: We carried out a transversal and des criptive study. Questionnaires were sent to the parents of children attending first year of elementary school in the Metropolitan Region (Santiago), the Biobío Region (Concepción, Chillán, Yumbel) and the Magallanes Region (Porvenir and Puerto Natales).

Background: In response to the worldwide increasing prevalence of low cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF), several interventions have been developed. The aim of this study was to examine the effect of a school-based intervention on CRF in Brazilian students.
Methods: A nonrandomised controlled design tested 432 students (intervention group: = 247) from 6th to 9th grade recruited from two public secondary schools in Florianopolis, in 2015.

The objective of this study was to identify the prevalence and factors associated with high body fat in adolescents. A cross-sectional study conducted with 601 students from both sexes aged 14-17 years who live in Midwestern state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. Body adiposity was assessed by the sum of subscapular and triceps skinfolds.
