Background: Glomus tumors around the jugular foramen and inner ear can have variable presentations, including lower cranial nerve palsies, tinnitus, hearing loss, or palpable neck mass. In general, these tumors are benign paragangliomas with the definitive treatment consisting of radiosurgery or surgery. Endovascular embolization can be added as a critical adjunctive therapy to reduce the tumor vascularity before surgical resection.

In this study, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to determine plasma and salivary nitrate (NO) and nitrite (NO) concentrations under resting and fasting conditions in different type of individuals and their association with blood pressure levels. A total of 77 studies, involving 1918 individuals aged 19-74 years (males = 906; females = 1012), which measured plasma and/or salivary NO and NO using the chemiluminescence technique, were included. Background And Objectives: The growing number of terminally ill patients has underscored the importance of equipping healthcare workers with adequate palliative care knowledge and self-efficacy. This study aimed to compare the palliative care knowledge and self-efficacy of nurses in intensive care units (ICUs) with those in general wards at hospitals affiliated with Kerman University of Medical Sciences in 2023.
Methods: This descriptive-comparative cross-sectional study involved nurses from intensive care units and general wards of three hospitals affiliated with Kerman University of Medical Sciences, for a total sample size of 300 nurses (150 in each group).
