Throughout the 20th century, radiographs and fluoroscopies became essential elements to complete clinical evaluation. Images of the most relevant cases, together with their clinical records, were stored in the radiological collections of the hospitals. Over time, the need for physical space due to the emergence of new equipment, together with the digitization of radiographs and their digital storage, put an end to the collections, many of which were lost in a corner of modern X-ray services.

Objective: Calcaneal fracture fixation remains a challenging procedure in orthopedics, with computational tools increasingly aiding in the optimization of preoperative planning. To compare the biomechanical stability of intramedullary fixation and locking plate fixation for Sanders II and III calcaneal fractures by three-dimensional (3D) finite element analysis and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical application.
Methods: The Computed Tomography (CT) images were segmented using Mimics software (Materialise NV, Belgium) to identify the region of interest based on threshold segmentation.

Background: Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is an inherited disease that leads to weakness, loss of ambulation, and progressive scoliosis in many patients, frequently requiring early spinal fusion. Nusinersen is a disease-modifying agent that improves symptoms and slows the progression of SMA but requires serial lumbar punctures for intrathecal drug delivery. Spinal fusion for scoliosis has historically been a contraindication for nusinersen therapy, as the fused spinal laminae block access to the thecal sac.

Introduction: Injuries to the posterolateral compartment (PLC) of the knee require special attention, as incorrect diagnosis and treatment may lead to considerable morbidity. However, no gold standard treatment has been established for PLC injuries.
Methods: 38 patients with concomitant (posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) and PLC injuries were divided into two groups according to surgical treatment of the proximal popliteal tendon injury.
