To explore the hypothesis of "pathogen storage pool" by analyzing the local microbial community of adenoids. Under the guidance of a 70° nasal endoscope, sterile swabs were used to collect secretions from the adenoid crypts of the subjects. The samples were sent to the laboratory for DNA extraction and standard bacterial 16S full-length sequencing analysis.

Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) rarely occurs in the nasolacrimal duct (NLD), and when it does, it has nonspecific manifestations. To the best of our knowledge, one case of ACC in the NLD has been reported in the literature. Herein, we report a second case of ACC in the left NLD, concerning a man in his late 60s.

Introduction: Intranasal steroids are effective in managing adenoid hypertrophy in children, but the evidence regarding technique of use for optimal results is lacking.
Methods: CFD analysis, with discrete phase modelling was done to simulate nasal spray in nasal cavity and drug delivery in the region of adenoids. The findings were validated using a 3D model designed from CT scan of the same region.

Aberrant carotid arteries are rare vascular anomalies that can significantly complicate head and neck surgeries, particularly in pediatric patients. These anomalies may be asymptomatic and are often discovered incidentally on imaging studies performed for unrelated conditions. The failure to recognize these anomalies preoperatively can result in life-threatening complications, such as catastrophic hemorrhage.
