Purpose: To determine an accurate method of intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation in highly myopic eyes with previous radial keratotomy (RK).

Methods: Five eyes that had undergone RK with preoperative myopia >-14.0 diopters (D) were studied retrospectively. The keratometric values obtained with the clinical history method, contact lens over-refraction method, conventional keratometry, adjusted keratometry, and Orbscan II were compared to the true keratometric value calculated retrospectively with the SRK/T formula.

Results: The true keratometric value was closest to that from the contact lens over-refraction method in one eye and to the flatter keratometric value between simulated keratometry (Sim K) and the 3-mm diameter central zone mean keratometric value obtained with axial keratometric power map of Orbscan II in four eyes.

Conclusions: The flatter keratometric value between Sim K and the 3-mm zone mean keratometric value from Orbscan II was closest to the true postoperative RK keratometric value of the central cornea.

To study the correlation between myopia growth and physical development of primary school student in Shihezi area of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region by measuring the ocular biometry and physical parameters of the eye, and to provide an objective basis for the development of myopia prevention and control. A cross-sectional study design was used. The Grade 1-6 students from 33 schools in Shihezi area were randomly selected in October 2023.

Purpose: To investigate the potential effects of systemic fingolimod treatment on parameters of the anterior segment of the eye and tear film function tests in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Methods: Forty-eight eyes of 24 individuals who were started on systemic fingolimod treatment for relapsing-remitting MS were prospectively enrolled in this study. Patients underwent examinations immediately before initiation of systemic fingolimod treatment, and at the first and sixth months of treatment.

Background: Advanced swept-source optical coherence tomography (SS-OCT) devices are the current gold standard for the measurement of ocular biometric and keratometric parameters, which are essential for the calculation and selection of intraocular lenses (IOLs). This study compares the agreement of two SS-OCT devices, the Eyestar 900 (Haag-Streit, Köniz, Switzerland) and the Anterion (Heidelberg Engineering, Heidelberg, Germany).

Materials And Methods: All patients undergoing cataract surgery or seeking consultation for corneal abnormalities between January 2024 and May 2024 were eligible for inclusion.

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of eyelid laxity on the structure of the cornea.

Methods: This was a retrospective study performed in one institution. Patients with and without upper and lower eyelid laxity, which were determined using the snap-back test (SBT) and the upper eyelid distraction test (LDT), were evaluated for corneal structural changes with Scheimpflug imaging corneal tomography for the keratometric readings, and cor-neal spectral domain optical coherence tomography for the epithelial thickness (ET) measurements.

Objectives: Comparing the visual, topographic, and aberrometric changes following Myoring implantation alone or combined with corneal cross-linking (CXL).

Methods: This retrospective, comparative study was conducted on keratoconus (KC) patients with moderate, central KC who sought medical advice at Watany Eye Hospital, Cairo, Egypt. Group 1 patients performed femtolaser-assisted Myoring implantation, while group 2 patients performed Myoring implantation with CXL.
