Thirty-five psoriatic arthritis patients underwent combined treatment including plasmapheresis given in 3 sessions with a 7-day interval. Plasma elimination reached 500-600 ml per session. Additional polyglucin and saline administration was introduced to correct circulating plasma. Chemotherapy involved nonsteroid antiinflammatory drugs, cytostatics, corticosteroids. It is believed++ that plasmapheresis is a beneficial adjuvant to chemotherapy in psoriatic arthritis potentiating the drugs action and correcting immunity.
