Based on a new structure of precise location and decoupling between the transducer elements, high frequency underwater transmission transducer arrays with 4 elements and 8 elements serried uniform linear array were studied, using novel 1-3-2 type piezoelectric composite as the sensing material. There are ceramic framework supports in the transverse and longitudinal directions in 1-3-2 type piezoelectric composite structure; the transducer is free from the influence of outside mechanical impact and the environment temperature change. Transducer and array samples have been designed, fabricated and measured. The resonant frequency is 150 kHz, resonant transmission response greater than 160 dB, and bandwidth is from 140 kHz to 160 kHz. The results indicate that, the transducer array has wide bandwidth, high sensitivity, stabile performance, and good coherence.

Background/aim: An inverse association exists between type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and both plasma vitamin D levels and sun exposure, but vitamin D supplementation does not reduce the incidence. We sought to assess whether there is a dose-dependency in the association between sun exposure and T2DM.

Patients And Methods: The melanoma in Southern Sweden (MISS) cohort is comprised of one thousand women without cancer from age groups between 25 and 64, drawn from the Southern Swedish Population Registry of 1990 by random selection.

A series of high-entropy pyrochlore ceramics, specifically (LaNd)(ZnSn)O ( = Sm, Eu, Gd, or Dy), have been synthesized using the solid-state reaction method. Their potential as high-temperature thermistors was investigated by analyzing electrical and aging properties at elevated temperatures. Characterization using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and Raman spectroscopy confirms that these ceramics are dense, single-phase solid solutions with a pyrochlore structure.

Objectives: This study aims to describe the impact of COVID-19 on Orthopedic and Trauma surgical activity in a single level-I trauma center in Northern Italy during the lockdown period. We proposed comparing surgical procedures performed during the outbreak and in the same period the previous year.

Methods: In this single-center retrospective epidemiological cohort study, the "lockdown cohort" of patients who were treated from March 1 to May 24, 2020, was compared to the "control cohort" who received treatment during the same period in 2019.

Layered oxides, such as NaMeO (Me = transition metal, = 0-1), are believed to be the most promising positive electrode materials for Na-ion batteries because of their high true density, large capacities, high working potentials, and reversibility. This study identified Na[NiMnFeTi]O as an optimal composition for use as an O3-type positive electrode material in Na-ion batteries on the basis of a comprehensive phase diagram, where the end members of the triangular phase diagram were Na[NiMn]O, Na[NiTi]O, and the hypothetical composition Na[NiFe]O. By investigating the effects of the partial substitution of Mn with Fe and Ti within the Na[NiMnFeTi]O system, we optimized the capacity, working potential, and cycle performance.

Study Design: Review of cohort studies.

Objective: To ascertain if previous hip (THA) or knee (TKA) arthroplasty was associated with patients' outcomes assessments of subsequent lumbar surgery, specifically overall satisfaction, less disability due to pain, and an affective appraisal reflecting emotional assessment of results.

Background: Hip, knee, and lumbar symptoms often co-exist and increasingly are managed with surgery.
