A 27-year-old man, with a history of non-Hodgkin lymphoma 8 years ago, was admitted due to 9 months of persistent sternal pain. Chest CT revealed a mass in the sternum. 18 F-FDG PET/CT was performed, demonstrating a radioactive accumulation mass in the sternum, accompanied by massive osteogenesis and osteolysis.

Unlabelled: Whole-body low-dose CT (WBLDCT) is recommended over classical skeletal surveys (CSS) for investigating bone disease in multiple myeloma (MM) based on retrospective studies. No prospective studies with serial follow-up scans exist.
Objective: To compare WBLDCT to CSS for identifying progressive bone disease in MM in a prospective setting.

Gorham Stout disease (GSD) or vanishing bone disease is an infrequent entity in clinical practice characterized by gross and progressive bone loss along with excessive growth of vascular and lymphatic tissue. Very little is known about the pathogenesis of GSD, which makes the diagnosis challenging. Due to the rarity of the disease, no treatment guidelines have been created yet.

Purpose: Disseminated nontuberculous mycobacterial (DNTM) infection can involve multiple organs, including the lungs, skin and soft tissues and lymph nodes. However, NTM infection leading to osteolysis has been rarely reported. Here, we analyzed the clinical features, osteolytic mechanisms, treatment and prognosis of patients with DNTM disease with osteolytic lesions.
