Clinical practice frequently involves the discovery of perineal lesions. The human papillomavirus, molluscum contagiosum, and herpes simplex virus are to blame for the majority of these anogenital lesions. In the majority of cases, these lesions may be identified by their distinctive appearance.

Perianal skin lesions are present in a significant portion of dermatology patients. It is therefore important for every dermatologist to be familiar with a wide range of differential diagnoses and to treat the underlying cause in a timely manner. Here we present the case of a 24-year-old male with perianal ulceration due to a newly diagnosed herpes simplex virus infection.

The Purpose Of The Study: To show the effectiveness of the use of the drug Panavir in patients with a combined clinical manifestation of viral herpetic lesions of the oral mucosa and genital area.
Material And Methods: Patient , 42 years old, complained of discomfort, pain and rashes in the mouth and on the genitals. To assess the patient's condition, clinical (dental examination using luminescent stomatoscopy and dermatovenerological examination) and laboratory methods were used: clinical blood and urine tests, microscopy of smears from the urethra, cervical canal, vagina, rectum and PCR-examination of the discharge from the elements of the lesion of the oral mucosa, urethra, cervical canal and the contents of vesicular rashes on the skin of the perianal area.

Potential simulators of premortem trauma present problems of misinterpretation and possible false accusations of caregivers. A case of unsuspected neonatal herpes is reported with associated perianal ecchymosis that raises the possibility of sexual abuse. The decedent was an 8-day-old newborn infant who was born by Cesarean section and treated for 5 days postdelivery for sepsis.

Background: The use of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) has been associated with a marked decrease in the prevalence of opportunistic infections in HIV-infected patients. However, chronic mucocutaneous herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection remains a difficult clinical challenge.
Objective: The aim of the study was to optimize the diagnosis and follow-up of chronic HSV-2 infection in HIV-infected patients and to correlate clinical data with CD4 cell count, in vitro HSV virological resistance and histology.
