In this control group study the Faustlos-Kindergarten version was evaluated. This violence prevention program is based on strengthening social-emotional competences in children. The results of the pre-post-study in 7 intervention and 7 control kindergartens (N=124 children aged 4; 5-6 years) show significant improvements in the childrens' social-emotional competences and significant reduction of aggressive behavior in the Faustlos groups in contrast to the controls.

Background: Globally, small for gestational age (SGA) is increasingly prevalent, paralleling the common high-risk pregnancies with inappropriate gestational weight gain (GWG). However, whether maternal GWG was associated with their SGA offspring's long-term development remained unresolved.

Social-emotional competence (SEC) enables children to build successful relationships and reduces the risk of mental issues. It has been demonstrated that implementing social-emotional learning (SEL) programs helps develop students' SEC and that better results are obtained utilizing gamification. This paper illustrates the impact of the faith-infused, game-based intervention RENEW (REsilience iN Emotional and behavioral Well-being) on primary school students' SEC.
